The Committee reviewed the correspondence.

    That the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee receive the letter from the Cobourg Brainstormers for information purposes.

7.1

The Committee reviewed the survey questions.

Deputy Mayor Seguin will ask the DBIA for their input regarding the beach survey. 

Deputy Director Behan will pull out business questions from the Waterfront Plan survey and they will be emailed to the committee.

The Committee will ask Ashley Purdy, Communications Manager, to assist with the survey introduction.

Member Pope and Whitney will take all suggestions and rewrite the survey. The Committee was asked to send any further suggestions to them.

The Deputy Director reviewed the 2021 draft tree planting budget. $25,000 has been added as a special project as per the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee. 

The Deputy Director will add a student to the budget.

The Chair, Beth Bellaire, will put together a report to Council on the Committee's 2020 accomplishments and goals for 2021 and will send it to the Committee for feedback.

Member Mutton asked if the picture on the Parks and Recreation section on the Town website can be updated. The Deputy Director will ask the communications department to change it.

Ongoing Usage of the Beach - December Report to Council 

Trash to Treasures - Spring 2021

Adult Fitness Park - Extended to March 2022

Legal Opinion Prior to Further Attempts to Regulate On-Water Activities - deferred until a new legal opinion is obtained. Brent Larmer, Legislative Clerk, is working on this.
